Ms. Charm's "Getting in the Holiday Spirit" Guide 2012

It’s officially the last month in 2012.  All Ms. Charm wants to do is spread some holiday spirit. 

So, I complied a list of great events to check out to get you ready for the holiday season, well in the most fashionably way possible. 

MICA Art Market : December 5 to December 8  (FREE) 

Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) presents its sixth annual MICA Art Market on Wednesday, Dec. 5  to Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in Brown Center’s Leidy Atrium (First Floor), Falvey Hall lobby (Lower Level) and Rosenberg Gallery (Second Floor), 1301 W Mount Royal Ave.

The FOUR-day sale features illustrations, paintings, prints, posters, sculptures, mosaics, stationery, T-shirts, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, book arts, toys, wrapping paper and so much more designed and created by more than 275 MICA students, faculty, alumni and staff.

MOTHER’S 4TH ANNUAL SIP & SHOP at Mother’s Grill: December 19  (Tickets are $18) 

Participating Boutiques and merchants will be at Mother’s featuring some of their favorite merchandise for holiday gift giving ideas. Enjoy some wine from Reliable Churchill Spirits & Wine, samples from their Stellina Bellini Bar, and complimentary appetizers all while you shop.

Tickets are $18 in advance thru missiontix.com $20 at a door. 

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the One Love Foundation in memory of Yeardly Love.

Hampden First Fridays: December 7 to December 21  (FREE) 

Of course, you know that Hampden neighborhood is the place to be on the first Friday of the month for their awesome shopping events.Starting on November 23 until December 21, every Friday will be like a “First Friday” in Hampden!

Holiday Craft Market in Center Plaza: December 11 and December 12 (FREE) 
December 11, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
December 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and  4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

35 craft and food vendors take over Center Plaza to sell fine art, handmade crafts and gifts – just in time for last minute holiday shopping. Enjoy lunch, live entertainment, and an eclectic mix of gifts and wares including jewelry, scarves, handmade soaps, lawn ornaments and more at the annual Holiday Craft Market in Center Plaza.

New to this year, enjoy extended evening hours on Wednesday, December 12 from 4-7:30pm. Warm up with free hot cocoa and holiday caroling!

 

Baltimore Fashion Alliance Annual Holiday Party: December 12  (FREE) 

The Baltimore Fashion Alliance’s annual holiday party will take place in Explorer’s Lounge at the beautiful Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore.

This is a great opportunity to dress up and mingle with some of the best in Baltimore’s fashion industry.

This is a FREE EVENT with a cash bar (happy hour prices) and validated parking for the valet.

Enjoy live jazz by the Jeron White Trio as you take in the spectacular view of Charm City. 

Moonlight Madness in Federal Hill: December 14 (FREE) 

Federal Hill Moonlight Madness shopping event is on Friday, December 14 from 7 p.m. to midnight. That’s right, you can shop at your fave Federal Hill boutiques until midnight.
